Parkland is an affluent city in the Northwest corner of Broward County. Neighboring to the north is western Boca Raton in Palm Beach County. As of the 2010 census there were less than 25,000 residents of Parkland. Parkland zoning laws were designed to maintain a park-like setting. Until 2000 there were no retail stores or plazas.

Parkland is home to two excellent golf course communities, Heron Bay and Parkland Golf & Country Club. Parkland has several gated community options if that is what you desire. If you are looking for a home with something larger than the typical 1/4 acre, Parkland may be for you. Pine Tree Estates has mostly 1 acre and higher lots available.
