Coconut Creek is a 12 square mile city that was once part of Pompano Beach until 1960, when it seceded. As of the 2010 census it has a population of approximately 52,000. It is known for it's attractive, well planned neighborhoods and good schools. Coconut Creek is home to the world's largest butterfly aviary, Butterfly World and the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino.
In 2010, Money Magazine named the City of Coconut Creek, the 48th best small town to live in the United States.
